Geico Commercials never made any sense to me. I don't see where any of them have anything to do with car insurance. Geico will tell you that they are more than car insurance, but their commercials don't look like car insurance advertising. Still, they are fun to watch. Kindle would be great for school. I was talking to a friend about it that was reading a book on Nook. We were reminiscing about how we had to carry a load of books in our back packs and in our arms. We were discussing that maybe Kindle or Nook would be books for students in the future. Then they would not have to keep up with so many heavy books. I use to crack jokes in school that I needed a wagon for my books. When I look at what Kindle has to offer today and how it existed, I could never had imagined in my high school days carrying something as digital and flat as Kindle to read books.

Making your own comics and writing your own stories can be fun. I always wanted to see my comics in a real newspaper. I have my own name for a newspaper, but it has never been a real newspaper or published in one. So I turned to Inthepaper. You can personalize your own news. I did not have to worry about publishing a million pages. At inthepaper, you just publish a front page with your own article and image. I did not have to worry about setting the size of the image. It was made smaller for the paper. The title of my article was written in big letters on the front page. When I received my paper in the mail, I was more than happy.

Now that I have seen what my cartoons look like in a newspaper, though it is fake, I want to make things more real. I would like to get into the newspaper business and publish my cartoons and stories.

You can now Doodle for AdSense. However, there is a deadline. You can create your own AdSense logo and submit it through the Google AdSense Form. Your logo can be seen on their blog, Twitter, and Facebook. Submissions will be live on May 3rd, and the form will be closed on May 20th.

It would be nice if people could get paid for doodling their creations. After all, someone gets paid for doodling for Google. A fun job is hard to get. I suppose there is a way to get paid for your creations if you had a good strategy online. You could create the job for yourself.

I have decided to share the blog links and posts on Twitter also and, I am following Shannon Lee. I am also following other Bruce Lee fans. The good thing about Twitter is you are able to share and find the same subjects and other people that are interested in what you are interested in. Since I grew up watching Bruce Lee, I guess that makes me love the Pepsi Kung Fu commercial. I think it is a pretty neat commercial advertising Pepsi and Kung Fu together. I love Shaolin Kung Fu. This commercial was very funny at the end. The man was being watched, and he was watching everyone else with the mark of the Pepsi can in their foreheads. He was the only one without the mark, and he got his mark by crushing a Pepsi can with his forehead. That made him a winner.

He was a great singer and entertainer that lasted for a long time. Not many entertainers can last a lot of years the way Michael did in music. He gave us many hit songs to sing and many videos to watch him. We have a lot of memories of Michael.

My Remembrance of Aaliyah

It seems like just yesterday when I was riding from work with my friend, Monica. She was nice about taking me to work when I didn’t have my license to drive. Monica had the radio on singingAaliyah’s hit song, “Try Again”. I didn’t know anything about Aaliyah during that time which was about the year of 2000. I was a big critic when it came to music, and was familiar with songs from Aaliyah like, “Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number”. To be honest, I was not an Aaliyah fan at that time. But, when I heard, “Try Again”, I was starting to like that particular song a little bit. Monica made the song sound nice blending her voice with Aaliyah’s.

When my friend Monica dropped me off to my house one day, I saw Aaliyah on television. My mother was sitting in a recliner chair on Chemotherapy. I was switching channels and saw Aaliyah on the Rosie O’Donnell Show. Aaliyah was throwing down singing, “Try Again”. My mother asked me, “Who is that girl?”

I said to my mother, “I don’t know, but I heard Monica singing her song.” Then later, after Aaliyah’s wonderful performance, Rosie O’Donnell gave the name of Aaliyah. It was not long after that day when my friend, Monica, gave me the video to watch of Aaliyah in the movie, “Romeo Must Die”. My mother was very sick but strong enough to watch the movie with me. It was the last movie we watched together, and she died in May 2001.

When my mother died, Aaliyah did not cross my mind. I was busy trying to get over my mother’s death. I felt a spirit and heard a voice that sounded just like my mother’s voice saying, “You were right, child. Stay in that Bible now.” The spirit patted me on the hand, and I don’t know what I was right about. Me and my mother had talked about so many things before she passed away.

To keep my mind occupied, I would visit my Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins with my father. I found out that Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash from them in August of 2001. My father helped me get cable television so I could have something to watch trying to get over my mother’s death. That’s when I learned more about Aaliyah and her death.

I thought to myself, “Lord, I know that Aaliyah is gone now, but I hope that you let Aaliyah into your kingdom.” I thought the thought and forgot about it. However the Lord heard me, and he did not forget. Then I began to see Aaliyah in visions for some reason. She knew nothing about me when she was alive, and I never met her. All I knew about Aaliyah was that she was asinger I knew nothing about her life away from the stage. I will not tell everything, but I will say that her image was used in my vision to let me know that the dead in Christ will rise again.

We all know that Charles Schulz is the cartoonist of the Peanuts comic strip. When I was in high school, I wanted to become a cartoonist. So, I wrote to Charles Schulz for some advice in the year of 1989. He sent me some thoughts on cartooning. I was shocked that I got a letter back from Charles.

Charles told me that there is no catch to getting into the comic strip business. He said all that I would have to do is draw a comic strip better than any other now running. You can send submissions through the mail. I was told that you should always have something in the mail working for you. As soon as you complete all of your comic strips, you should put them in the mail to a magazine and work on a newspaper feature. If you complete two or three weeks material, send it off to a syndicate and forget about it. You should give the publications your best work. You would be robbing them from what they deserve from you. The ideas that you may be saving now for better publications at a later time, will not seem that good several years later.

Well, I took Charles advice by drawing two or three weeks material. I sent my work to a syndicate. My work did not get accepted. Today, we have the internet. There are other ways to publish our work. We have blogs and websites. It seems much easier now and much harder in the old days. Charles told me other things about cartooning that was very helpful. Some of his information is still useful to me today. I cherish his letter.

The Charact is a fiction newspaper about Christian cartoons, comics, articles, and art. It is called the Charact_West Street Journal because it is a journal named after a street in the city that I live in. It is because it is all about Christian cartoon characters.

The main character is Little Benny. He is the character that started it all. Then it became Little Benny and Friends.

Then I began to make a journal and called it West Street. After I began to sit back and look at all of the characters that was adding up, I came up with the name Charact_West Street Journal. The digital news above is just an outline of what Little Benny and some of the other characters are about.

Selena, the famous Mexican singer, lives on in the hearts of many today though she has left us. She left us in the year of 1995. It's 2010, and people are still thinking of her, and even I am thinking of her right now. I saw a Christ like person in Selena reaching out to people when she was alive. She still seems to have an affect on people. It seems as if she never left us. Selena had a lot of love for people and people loved her. That love between her and people is still alive. If you have love, that is something that no one can kill and take away. Love is very big and powerful. Especially when there is more than one heart, mind, and spirit involved. It is something that is everlasting. No one can kill that love.

Carticles is about articles written with cartoon images. It's fun to make words, and it's fun being creative. It's fun to be different and to do something no one else is thinking of doing. Most of the time we live by rules. We are taught that it is incorrect to do this or that. We are always putting a stamp or a label on something and we do not go any further. For example, you may see banana baby food written on the label of a baby food jar. In your mind, you are thinking that you are not supposed to eat it because the food was made for babies. However, if you would think past that baby food label of the jar, you know that it is only bananas that is eaten by adults broken down into pudding. Well, Carticles is nothing but articles with cartoon images.

The InkPost idea came from watching Google with Adsense. Most of the time you see Google Ad text everywhere, but I love pictures and text. I started the InkPost after making Google art. First, we need to find customers that would be interested in what we try to sell. I have bought my own trading cards and they are beautiful quality. My trading cards are pretty strong with a gloss look. Even though no one has bought my cards, I am proud of what I have done when I buy one of them.
